Our story began in February of 2021. We purchased the event rental business portion from Evergreen Floral & Events. With over a decade long history of catering and event planning at the Star Hotel & Lounge, it was the next step to expand our business. In addition to providing delicious cuisine, we now have this full-service event planning company.
We love working with individuals and companies to plan their events. Each event is unique. Each host has a wish list and vision. Our goal is to work closely with each event host to bring their dream to life. We have an extensive collection of bars, arches, chairs, tables and other accessories to host great events. In addition to what we have on hand, we work with industry leaders providing top quality rentals to fulfill each hosts’ vision.

Meet Katie
I was raised in Elko and attended Elko High. At that time, I knew that I wanted to be in the event business. I left Elko to complete my Bachelor Degree in Business Administration. I was lucky enough to be able to move home and start my career as a Catering Manager which quickly led to becoming the Manager of Salud Events.
Growing up I learned many skills about hospitality and hosting events. Partnering these experiences with my business degree has been an inspiration & motivation to design memorable events.
Hosting and planning events is a passion that I have had since high school. I am excited to keep working and growing with Salud Events and the Star Hotel.
Meet Jeana
I am Jeana Rea, an Event Planner & Coordinator with Salud Events by The Star.
I relocated to Elko, Nevada over 9 years ago from Missoula, Montana with my husband, two kids and our pup Lily. Since then, we have grown our family by 2 pups (Echo and Ruger) and have made Elko our home. We are very proud to be part of this community.
For as long as I can remember, I have found myself at the center of planning memorable events. After so many years of event planning for fun, I am now lucky enough to do it for a living!
I consider it such a privilege to be able to plan and coordinate events for our clients and always strive to provide an experience that exceeds the client’s expectation. I love putting my creativity to work to make every moment special, and I’m very excited for the opportunity to share that with our Elko area community!
